Homeschool Freedom Pledge

I affirm that children are made in the image of God and are worthy of an education with respect to that.

I affirm that the right to define, determine, design, direct and delegate the education of children is fundamental to, and arises first, from the parents and families to whom the children belong and not to the State.

I assert that the nature of education is to convey ideas and information through a rubric of principles and values from teacher to pupil. Because of this, education is always religious and associative in nature and is therefore protected by the Laws of Nature and Nature’s 
God and, in the United States, the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

I affirm that no person shall be compelled to send their child to any school to which they may be conscientiously opposed.

I affirm that home learning is part of a way of life inherent to the jurisdiction of the family.

In the event of any attack on home education freedoms, I pledge my support to honor and affirm the principles set forth in this pledge.
